IT'S A 1973 SPLIT BUMPER MODEL THAT WAS A WELL TAKEN CARE OF ONE OWNER RIDE. IT DESERVES A CATCHY NICKNAME FOR SEVERAL REASONS. BIG POWER, A KILLER CHASSIS, AND A TON OF OTHER SAFETY AND GO FAST PARTS MAKE THIS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. IT IS NOW OFFICIALLY "THE SPLIT BUMPER THUMPER".

(MIKE)>> WE PUT THE CAR ON THE BACK BURNER TO BUILD A HEALTHY POWER PLANT FOR THIS TRIPLE THREAT CONTENDER. NOW IT'S WHAT WE CONSIDER A HYBRID. FROM THE DECK DOWN IT'S ALL ORIGINAL SMALL BLOCK CHEVY PARTS, BUT FROM THE DECK UP IT'S PACKED FULL OF KILLER LS INDUCTION. HERE'S A QUICK LOOK AT IT MAKING A POWER PULL BACK ON OUR SUPERFLOW DYNO. THIS STOUT SMALL BLOCK PACKS IN 440 CUBIC INCHES. THE COMPRESSION RATIO IS 11.35 TO ONE, AND IT RUNS ON 93 OCTANE PUMP GAS. WE TURNED IT 7,000 RPM AND WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE RESULTS. 677 HORSEPOWER AND 561 POUND FEET OF TORQUE.
